These ships are large, sail-powered ocean-going vessels, commonly referred to as Tall Ships. The largest vessels are Class A square-rigged vessels (i.e., barque, barquentine, brig, brigantine, and ship-rigged) and other vessels more than 40 meters/131 feet in length. Class B vessels are traditionally rigged (i.e., gaff-rigged, sloops, ketches, yawls, and schooners) with a length overall (LOA) of fewer than 40 meters and a waterline length of at least 9.14 meters/ 30 feet.
